Wherever there is navigable water, you’ll find wrecks. Wreck diving is among the most enjoyable of all specialized diving activities.
This course concentrates on external surveys, equipment preparedness, mental attitude and methods of research. Wrecks are often in deeper water. This requires careful planning and proper safety procedures.
When wreck diving, you must look out for sharp edges and loss of bearings. Gloves and a knife are absolute requirements.
It’s easy to become disoriented on a pile of rubble scattered on the bottom. Learn to run a line with your reel and how best to pick it up. Having the proper skills and equipment for the job may even allow you to salvage a valuable find.
